We shall meet at the Kings Norton Golf Club ( August 12th ) for an optional morning round of golf of 9 holes on the Yellow loop at 9.30 am for 10.00 am start after coffee and biscuits. Following a rendezvous at 12.30 pm for soup and sandwiches, the main afternoon event starts at 1.30 pm off Blue / Red tees, competing for the highly prestigious Masefield Cup and a galaxy of Visitor awards. The golf will be followed by dinner in the evening at 7.00 pm for 7.30 pm with a hilarious, entertaining and enjoyable prize giving ceremony. The Worshipful Master is particularly keen to encourage as many as possible to attend, especially non-golfers and their ladies, bearing in mind that this is likely to be his last event of this Masonic year.

Please do not hesitate to contact me for any special requests, or further information, e.g. vegetarian meals etc.

Ever considered becoming a Freemason?

We hope that this news page will help show the breadth and diversity of our Masonic activities (mostly charitable, sometimes purely social, always enjoyable) and that this will encourage potential future members to come forward to find out more.

There are many ways of doing this, and the "Your Questions Answered" page in this website is a good place to start. The next step is then to make contact with one or more Masons ~ if you have a friend, colleague or neighbour who is a Mason, you should feel free to raise the subject with him. You will generally find that any Mason will be happy to talk with you, and to put you in touch with a Lodge Secretary. If you have no existing Masonic acquaintances, by all means contact us by e-mail, giving us a few details about yourself and why you are interested in joining.

Masefield Lodge meets seven times each year, on the second Monday of the month from October to April inclusive. Each month's meeting begins usually at about 6 p.m., when the Lodge is opened, minutes of the previous meeting are read, followed by the general business of the Lodge, concluding at around 7.45 p.m. This is followed by a Festive Board in the Dining Room, where we enjoy good food and interesting conversation amongst Masonic company. These meetings are open to Brethren of the Lodge, and their invited Masonic guests. The Lodge calendar is further enhanced by our numerous social events, to which Brethren are encouraged to invite their partners, family and friends.
